Great Britain’s U19 women finish the 2018 Euro Champs on a high -

Great Britain’s U19s finished ninth at the European Championships after beating Germany 10-5 (1-2, 3-2, 5-0, 1-1) in a thrilling 9th/10th final in Madeira on Friday. Stephanie Whittaker, Milly Wordley and Robyn Greenslade top scored for Great Britain with two goals each, as Nick Hume’s squad fought back brilliantly from 2-1 down to win the match and ensure they ended the tournament on a high.

Captain Annie Clapperton (1), Lily Turner (1), Katy Cutler (1) and Emmie-Rose Eastwood (1) were also among the goals as Great Britain delivered another outstanding performance, working relentlessly as a unit in defence and attack.

Congratulations to the entire team and the coaches, and a massive thank you for all the fantastic support here in Madeira and back home.
