GBR Senior Women’s Teams

The Great Britain Senior Women’s team competed in the 2012 Olympic Games, placing 8th overall in what was the team’s Olympic debut.

UK Sport funding for the Great Britain Senior teams was then cut from £4.5 million to nil following the 2012 Olympic Games and for a decade the Great Britain Senior Women’s team was in a period of stasis.

Twelve years on from London2012 the emergence of a new group of young GBR senior players under Head Coach Nick Buller resulted in a GBR team qualifying for the European Water Polo Championships 2024 in Eindhoven, NED Jan 5-13 2024, securing 7th place and qualification for the 2024 World Championships in Doha.
