GBR Senior Women’s Teams

The Great Britain Senior Women’s team competed in the 2012 Olympic Games, placing 8^th overall in what was the team’s Olympic debut.

However, UK Sport funding for the Great Britain Senior teams was cut from £4.5 million to nil following the 2012 Olympic Games and for a decade the Great Britain Senior Women’s team was in a period of stasis.

Twelve years on from London2012 the emergence of a new group of young GBR senior players under Head Coach Nick Buller resulted in a GBR team qualifying for the European Water Polo Championships 2024 in Eindhoven, NED Jan 5-13 2024, securing 7th place and qualification for the 2024 World Championships in Doha.
