Welcome to our first water polo club news bulletin of the new decade. We hope that you had a great festive season, and wish all polo fans a happy and healthy 2020! 

We start with many congratulations to Mike Hesketh who has been acknowledged as Swim England’s National Volunteer of the year for 2019. Mike has been a stalwart supporter of English water polo for many years at a local, national and international level.

Seasons greetings to all our clubs! - November 30, 2019



Our Christmas photo this year comes from Penguin Water Polo Club whose players enjoyed a festive swim at the Hampton outdoor pool.

This month has seen the finale of the British Water Polo Women’s Division 1 with the five top teams going forward to the Super Fives next year.  Massive congratulations to City of Manchester whose team have gone through unbeaten as the leaders.  The other qualifiers are – Sheffield Sharks, City of Coventry,

November’s water polo club news is here! - November 1, 2019



Welcome to our November edition of Water Polo News.  It’s been another busy month with a lot of action in the British Water League – see www.bwpl.org for the latest news.  In this newsletter we try to shine a light on other activities that are going on at club level.  We hope you find it an interesting read.    

Barnsley Swimming Club Water Polo is celebrating its 140th anniversary.  The club has a rich history including being founder members of the Wakefield and District League in 1922.
