Game 1 Exeter  v Barcelona

Exeter’s first match in the Tournament saw quarter scores of 4-2 3-1 4-0 3-1 to end 14-4 to Barcelona. A decent effort from the Team in the first half.

A critical win against beat Esslingen (Stuttgart – German Champions in this age group) 14-12.

Game 3 Exeter v Vigo

Buoyed from the result against Esslingen yesterday – the Team continued to play great water polo and a very strong first quarter resulted in a 4-1 lead against Vigo from North West Spain with eventual 13-7 victory.

6-6 at full-time v CN St Feliu.10-10 after penalties. Lost in sudden death.

Classification game Exeter v CN Catalunya

An amazing performance to come 7th in the Tournament after a (1-1, 2-0, 1-1, 3-1) closely fought match v CN Catalunya. Final score 7-3.

This has been another exciting month with City of Manchester pulling off an amazing double victory in the Super 5s as their men’s and women’s teams won their respective super 5 crowns. The men’s event came down to a thrilling finale with City of Manchester playing Polytechnic for a winner takes all showdown. City of Manchester secured a 15-12 victory over last year’s champions to take the crown while Sutton & Cheam secured their place in the Champions Cup with a 5-9 victory over Cheltenham and Welsh Wanderers took the third spot.
