England’s Junior Women started their EU Nations Cup campaign with back-to-back wins against Sheffield (19-8) and Switzerland (21-5) to go top of Group A

Earlier on Saturday, Nick Humes squad sealed top spot in Group A with an 11-9 (4-2, 1-4, 3-1, 3-2) victory against Slovakia.
Amelie Perkins led the way, hammering in eight goals, while Amelia Crompton (1), India Knights-Hume (1) and Hariett Bates (1) were also on target.
England’s Junior Women are through to the final of the EU Nations Cup after beating Ukraine 13-8 (3-5, 4-1, 3-1, 3-1) in Saturday’s semi-final.
Josephine Lamont-Tuskett top scored with a hat-trick, while there were also goals for Amelie Perkins (2), Hariett Bates (2), Elsie Graves (2), Lily Ross (1), Alice Berrill (1), Ruby Taylor (1) and India Knights-Hume (1)
GOLD! England’s Junior Women have been crowned champions at the EU Nations Cup after a sensational 16-9 (2-4, 6-2, 4-1, 4-2) victory against Czechia in Sunday’s gold medal game.
After falling 1-4 behind in the first quarter, England stunned the hosts with a powerful 6-0 surge and led 8-6 at half-time.
It was a magnificent team performance as Nick Hume’s squad extended their lead in the third and closed the game out superbly in the fourth.
Amelie Perkins was unplayable at times in attack, top scoring with seven goals, while Elsie Graves (2), Jaspreet Gill (1), Hariett Bates (1), Josephine Lamont-Tuskett (1) India Knights-Hume (1), Lily Ross (1), Alice Berrill (1) and Ruby Taylor (1) were also on target.
