Game 1 FRA v GBR
Great Britain’s women opened their World Championships campaign with an impressive 9-12 (4-3, 0-3, 2-5, 3-1) victory against France on Friday. A strong second quarter saw Great Britain open up a two-goal lead, with the pick of the goals a well-worked six on five expertly finished off by captain Kathy Rogers at the far post.
Two more unanswered goals at the start of the third put Great Britain in control and after that there was no way back for the French.

Game 2 GBR v RSA
Great Britain’s women made it two wins from two at the World Championships with a powerful 12-3 (5-0, 2-2, 4-1, 1-0) victory against South Africa on Sunday
A dominant first quarter saw Great Britain take control of the game, and goals from Lily Turner (4), Toula Falvey (3), Harriet Dickens (3), Annie Clapperton (1) and captain Kathy Rogers (1) helped secure another vital three points in Singapore.
Next, Theo Nousios’ squad face Olympic champions Spain in their final group match on Tuesday (6.45am start UK time).

Great Britain will face Japan in Thursday’s playoffs at the World Championships after finishing runners-up in Group D
Theo Nousios’ squad finished the preliminary stage in Singapore with a battling 7-16 (0-4, 1-3, 5-3, 1-6) loss to Olympic champions Spain on Tuesday.
A fantastic third quarter saw Great Britain fight back to within four goals (6-10) of the favourites, and our goalscorers were Lily Turner (2), Lucy Blenkinship (2), Isobel Howe (2) and Annie Clapperton (1).
Game 4 JPN v GBR
Great Britain will face New Zealand in the 9th-12th classification semi-finals of the World Championships after falling to a clinical Japan 23-10 (6-2, 5-2, 5-1, 7-5) on Thursday
Theo Nousios will now lead his team out against Great Britain London 2012 star Angie Winstanley-Smith’s New Zealand on Saturday in Singapore.
Great Britain’s scorers against Japan were Annie Clapperton (2), Lily Turner (2), Toula Falvey (2), Amelie Perkins (2) and Katy Cutler (2).
Game 5 NZ v GBR
Great Britain will finish their World Championships campaign against France in the 11th/12th final on Monday
Lily Turner fired in four goals against New Zealand and Toula Falvey hit a hat-trick in Saturday’s 9th-12th semi-finals, but it wasn’t enough to stop Great Britain from falling to a 20-12 (5-3, 7-3, 5-1, 3-5) defeat.
Captain Kathy Rogers (2), Harriet Dickens (1), Izzy Howe (1) and Katie Brown (1) were our other scorers, while earlier France lost to China 18-6 in their 9th-12th semi-final.
Game 6 FRA v GBR
Great Britain finished their World Championships campaign in style with a 9-14 (1-2, 3-4, 2-4, 3-4) victory against France early on Monday morning
Captain Kathy Rogers and Lily Turner led the scoring with a hat-trick each, while Amelia Peters (2), Katie Brown (2), Toula Falvey (1), Izzy Howe (1), Brooke Tafazolli (1) and Annie Clapperton (1) were also on target.
Goalkeeper Sophie Jackson was on excellent form too, producing several stunning saves to help steer Great Britain to a fourth consecutive win against France.
Six-on-five conversion rates were also key, with Great Britain hitting 8/15, and restricting France to 2/7.
The result sees Great Britain equal the 11th position they achieved at last year’s World Championships in Doha, which was their second-highest ever finish in history.
Theo Nousios’ squad will now look to build on the performances in SIngapore – three wins and three losses – as they head towards January’s European Championships in Madeira

Great Britain finished their World Cup Division Two campaign on a high with a hard-fought 13-12 (3-4, 3-1, 6-3, 1-4) victory over Portugal on Sunday afternoon in Malta. Theo Nousios’ squad took control after the first quarter, but had to dig deep in the fourth to secure seventh place overall, as the Portuguese fought back to level late on. Izzy Howe was the hero, sending in an exquisite lob shot with 1:07 remaining to win the game.
