The polo community mourns the loss of Alex Miller -

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of talented young England Water Polo player Alex Miller, who died on the 24th July after a road traffic accident.

Alex was part of the England Talent Programme and a member of the GBR 1997 junior men’s squad which travelled to Croatia. Alex is pictured below in the sunshine with his GBR team mates and coaches.

Alex was also a key member of the Castleford team, seen here with his team mates after Castleford had secured the 2014/15 BWPL Div 4 Championship.

At this time our thoughts are with Alex’s family and friends, who have asked us to announce to the community the details of the funeral service, which will take place on 16th August at St Hilda’s Crematorium, Teesside. Everyone is invited to attend, with people asked to arrive from 11am with the committal service starting at 11.15am.

There will also be a gathering afterwards to remember Alex’s life at the British Legion, Thirsk, 12:30am start. The dress code is casual throughout.
