Welcome to our June Water Polo Club news - May 30, 2018



First off, wasn’t it great to see British water polo featured on Sky Sports for two hours on a Sunday evening?  The channel showed the highlights from this year’s Super Fives including interviews with the team captains who came across as professional and poised.  Internationally in May, our GBR U19 men qualified Europe for the first time in a decade, and both our England Men and U19 Women won the 2018 EU Nations Men’s and Women’s Tournaments.

May’s England Water Polo club news is now out! - April 30, 2018



First up, many congratulations to the victorious London Otter and Newton Abbot sides which claimed the girls’ U17 and U19 titles respectively on the final day of the Swim England Water National Age Group Championships 2018 in Manchester.

The Otter U19 team were crowned champions after defeating the home side and defending champions, City of Manchester, in the final.  City of Liverpool won the bronze medal in the third and fourth play-off match as they eased past Rotherham 17-12.

Welcome to the April edition of the monthly Club Newsletter with stories from around the country.

We start with many congratulations to Solihull Water Polo and London Otter, 2018 men’s and women’s Super 5s winners respectively, and a big thank you to the British Water Polo League for delivering another fantastic season.

 

In really exciting news, the British Water Polo League has announced a major coup for the sport by securing live coverage on Sky Sports of the finale of the Women’s and Men’s Super 5s which took place at Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’
