Game 1

England’s 2005s have started their EU Nations campaign with a battling 15-10 (6-2, 2-3, 3-2, 4-3) defeat to Slovakia. Despite the loss, England improved as the game progressed and lots of positives to build on for the rest of the tournament

Game 2

England’s 2005s have lost their second match at the EU Nations U17 Water Polo Tournament to Austria 7-15 (1-2, 2-2, 1-3, 3-8). Another battling performance from John Spicer’s young team with Austria only managing to pull away in the final stages.

Game 3

England’s 2005s have lost their third match at the EU Nations U17 Water Polo Tournament to Lithuania 16-11 (5-2, 3-3, 4-3, 4-3). Our scorers: Aaron Downer (2), Arish Patel (2), Henry Jackson (1), Ryan-Jay Griffiths (1), Ryan James (2) & James Coleman (3).
The result means England finish fourth in Group B and will now face Switzerland in the crossovers

Game 4

England lost their first crossover match 21-6 (10-0, 2-2, 5-2, 4-2) against Switzerland.

Game 5

England’s 2005s secured a 16-9 (6-3, 4-0, 3-3, 3-3) victory over Scotland in their final match at the EU Nations U17 Water Polo Tournament. A great performance to wrap-up their time in the Czech Republic, which has been a great learning experience with the team playing against older opposition.

2nd: Czech Republic

This has been another exciting month with City of Manchester pulling off an amazing double victory in the Super 5s as their men’s and women’s teams won their respective super 5 crowns. The men’s event came down to a thrilling finale with City of Manchester playing Polytechnic for a winner takes all showdown. City of Manchester secured a 15-12 victory over last year’s champions to take the crown while Sutton & Cheam secured their place in the Champions Cup with a 5-9 victory over Cheltenham and Welsh Wanderers took the third spot.
